Modern Machine Shop would like to thank everyone who participated in the NewDimension Contest and everyone who visited us at the Advanced Manufacturing Center @ IMTS 2010. We are pleased to announce the winners of this year's contest:

The Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) returned to IMTS with a display that featured world-leading manufacturers, media and researchers intent on powering a New Dimension in Advanced Manufacturing.

By all accounts, the 2010 edition of the Advanced Manufacturing Center, presented by Rolls-Royce, Modern Machine Shop, University of Sheffield's AMRC and IMTS, successfully provided IMTS visitors insights into emerging metalworking and design technologies that are shaping the future of advanced manufacturing.

• Modern Machine Shop (MMS) 3-D - MMS distributed copies of it's 3-D September issue
• Edge Factor Show - Debuted the trailer of manufacturing's first 3-D Show
• Virtual Reality Theater - Visualization leader, Virtalis, presented an interactive, virtual reality theater
• Trent 1000 Fan Blade - Virtual, 3-D model of engine powering Boeing Dreamliner
• Trent 900 Fan Blade - Physical model of Rolls-Royce fan powering the Airbus A380
• BlueSwarf - Presented Tool Dashboard for determining speeds, feeds and depths.
• Techspex - Presented machine tool database and search engine
