The conversations around additive manufacturing (AM) have changed. Suppliers of equipment for making industrial parts through 3D printing have noted that prospective users formerly came to them asking what AM can do, but now much more often ask about repeatability, best practices and other practical considerations for moving ahead.

The place of additive manufacturing has changed at IMTS as well. Indeed, this is the year that AM will find its home at North America’s leading manufacturing event. With the launch of the Additive Manufacturing Pavilion and with an Additive Manufacturing Conference spanning multiple days of the show, IMTS has become one of the most valuable resources available to manufacturers interested in learning about the potential role of AM in their manufacturing operations.
