Aqueous Cleaner for Aircraft Composites

CleanSafe 787C aqueous cleaner has been approved by the Boeing Company and Spirit AeroSystems for use on carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) and for cleaning composite structures such as those materials found in Boeing BMS 8-212, 8-392, 8-256 and 8-276.

CleanSafe 787C aqueous cleaner has been approved by the Boeing Company and Spirit AeroSystems for use on carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) and for cleaning composite structures such as those materials found in Boeing BMS 8-212, 8-392, 8-256 and 8-276.
 
The aqueous cleaning solution is designed for spray-in-air and agitated immersion equipment. It is selected when a non-foaming, non-scaling cleaner with excellent substrate compatibility and low environmental impact is required, the company says. The cleaner is also safe for use on bare, alodined and anodized aluminium; carbon steel; copper; copper alloys; magnesium; stainless steel; and titanium. It is also approved for use on faying surfaces in accordance with Boeing BAC 5763 “Emulsion Cleaning and Aqueous Degreasing” process specification.
