The Sauter disc-type tool turret from Indexing Technologies is said to promote optimum performance on lathes, with a rigid, precise design that provides rapid indexing times. Turrets are available with an electro-mechanical, hydraulic, servo or synchro motor drive for precise indexing and accurate repeatability. Bi-directional rotation and ultra-high-speed drives ensure the shortest possible tool-to-tool times. The turret is compatible with VDI, BMT and most other types of toolholding and quick-change systems, the company says.

The turret comes in a range of sizes and configurations, with live tooling available on most models. High-pressure coolant, gaging, load and tool-wear monitoring, and other options are also available.
