The MicroKom BluFlex boring head from Komet incorporates Bluetooth wireless technology to isolate the display from the tool head. When dialing in the micro-adjustable head, the operator can affix the magnetic external display unit anywhere within the field of view outside of the machine tool. The display can switch between mm and inches, and its illuminated screen and oversized numerals make reading easier. According to the company, this system makes it simpler, safer and more convenient to read the head’s settings.
