RBR Machine Tools offers the flexible deburring system FDS 600/6 by Trebi. The system is designed for fast and efficient processing of gray and ductile iron castings prior to final machining operations. Automated removal of burrs, parting-line fins, gates and other excess material can be done in single setup. Combined with Trebi’s workholding system, a unique design isolates cutting forces from the robot motors and reduces cycle times compared to traditional solutions, the company says. The solution can be configured with as many as 11 tools, using six simultaneously controlled axes for parts ranging to 600 mm in diameter and weighing as much as 30 kg.
