Carl Zeiss Metrology will display the O-Inspect 322 coordinate measuring machine that combines contact scanning and optical measuring. Designed for the measurement of smaller parts such as mobile phone cases or dentures, the machine provides a measuring range of 300 × 200 × 200 mm. In contrast to pure optical measuring systems, this CMM comes with contact sensors and Zeiss scanning; optical and contact sensors are built in. The Calypso 3D CAD software merges the measured data.

During scanning, the Vast XXT probe enables precision probing with forces in the millinewton range to enable true 3D measurements with form and position statements. A 12× telecentric zoom lens from Carl Zeiss Microscopy compensates for deviations in distance to the object with an additional zoom range.

According to Carl Zeiss Metrology, the CMM works reliably under varying ambient temperatures and can be deployed on the shop floor, making it well-suited for locations with difficult climate conditions.
