CNC Simulation Software Optimizes Cutting Speeds for Complex Multi-Axis Operations
CGTech’s Vericut 7.4 includes enhancements that improve workflow and programming for CNC simulation, verification and optimization.
CGTech’s Vericut 7.4 includes enhancements that improve workflow and programming for CNC simulation, verification and optimization. Version 7.4 opens with a welcome screen offering quick access to common first actions for a Vericut session. The customizable user interface features a docking method enabling users to lay out the software’s desktop in the most efficient manner for workflow.
The “tool manager” features a redesigned desktop and user interface. A new toolbar located at the top of the tool manager window eases access to all the features needed to create and maintain tool libraries, create and modify tool assemblies, import tool assemblies, and create or import OptiPath records.
The Force physics- and mathematics-based modeling software module is designed to optimize machining rates for parts within aerospace, automotive, industrial and other markets that use automated machining. The module determines the optimum cutting speeds for the type of material being cut. The software is particularly effective when cutting difficult-to-machine materials and when performing complex, multi-axis cuts such as five-axis flank milling.
