The application is said to provide fast and accurate CNC simulation, verification and analysis capabilities. Its libraries support a range of predefined and user-defined cutters and holders. The software simulates virtually any type of CNC machining and helps users detect collisions and gouges in a full machining environment.
Complex stocks and fixtures can be defined and transformed to simulate the whole machine tool.
Flexible animation controls allow the user to watch an entire simulation or jump to points of interest. By comparing the processed stock model with the original design, the software identifies, lists and displays surface gouges, rest material and rapid-feed clashes.
According to the company, the application’s APIs have been designed to provide extensive analysis capabilities that deliver improved efficiency at each stage of the manufacturing process.
The in-process stock geometry is fully accessible to the host application at any time during the simulation and verification process. This allows a basis for development of analysis and optimization algorithms, including rest-material and inaccessible-area detection, rapid-feed identification and feed-rate optimization.
The core module includes two- through three-axis milling and two- through four-axis turning and wire EDM.
The optional die/mold module adds 3+2-axis milling that is optimized for die/mold applications. The optional multi-axis module enables the simulation of the entire machining environment and process, adding simultaneous four- and five-axis milling to the core package.
