CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder for End Mill Production

Anca’s MX5 CNC tool and cutter grinder is designed for producing end mills in mixed batches.

Anca’s MX5 CNC tool and cutter grinder is designed for producing end mills in mixed batches. The grinder offers a 26-kW spindle and two wheel packs for grinding HSS and carbide cutting tools ranging to 16 mm (5/8").

The grinding wheel and spindle are supported by a bi-symmetrical gantry casting which evenly straddles the tool center line. The design enables the grinding wheel to remain close to the C-axis pivot point and is said to minimize thermal growth, increase rigidity and promote high profile accuracy for tools requiring five-axis movements (such as corner radii or ballnose end mills).

Anca’s ToolRoom software featuring an end mill wizard and intelligent, integrated 3D graphics simulation is included. The grinder also can be equipped with the company’s RoboMate high-capacity compact loader.
