PRAB’s Guardian coolant recycling system is said to reduce fluid purchases by as much as 75 percent and reduce waste fluids by as much as 90 percent. According to the company, free-floating and mechanically dispersed tramp oils are reduced to 0.1 percent or less at process rates ranging from 90 to 1,500 gph. Larger capacity units are also available. The system operates on a continuous overflow process with multiple passes to prevent rancidity. An automatic air sparger purges coalescing media of solids and sludge. An optional polishing filter enables tighter coolant clarity tolerances. The fluid reclamation system is suitable for operations with industrial coolant or washwater reserves.
