Dielectric Fluid Provides Safe, Effective Flushing
IMTS 2018: Hirschmann Engineering’s IonoPlus 3000 dielectric fluid suits rough-cutting to fine finishing operations.
Hirschmann Engineering’s IonoPlus 3000 dielectric fluid suits operations from rough cutting to fine finishing. Advantages include flushing effectiveness and disruptive strength, according to the company. The fluid has been tested for operational safety and industrial hygiene by the Institute for Research and Control of Work Materials in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and does not produce toxic or allergic symptoms. The air surrounding the workplace does not reach a tolerance limit.
Micro molecules surround the electrode like a protective grid, and chemical-satellite electrodes distribute the discharges. The company says the dielectric fluid enables users to achieve surface roughness of less that 0.1 micron quickly. Swift dispersion of waste particles helps to prevent burn spots from forming.
The fluid offers improved resistance to electrode wear, improved surface quality, good results in the polishing process and good dispersing capacity.
