This line of drag finishing machines features two separately adjustable drive systems, front-loading convenience and touchscreen controls. According to the company, these machines provide constant process parameters that result in consistent finished component quality. The media classification screen offers a permanent homogenous media mixture. Basic models in the line include a manually changeable process bowl. Advanced models include multiple process bowls that automatically shuttle as required by the current process step. The machines are suitable for surface grinding, deburring, edge breaking, radiusing, surface smoothing and wet or dry high-gloss polishing. Examples of applications include orthopedic implants (knee and hip joints), dental implants, various gears, pinions, tool clamping systems, toolholders, ball valves, parts for aerospace turbines, decorative parts and engine components such as cams, connecting rods, pistons or valves. The process can be used on milling tools to finish cutting edges and treat chip flutes.
