The XL-2010 dressing system incorporates tools that are customized for specific grinding wheels and user requirements. This is said to eliminate dressing tool break-in time for centerless, angle-head and other grinding machine configurations. The company adds that the system can reduce tool inventories when used as a replacement for single points, grit dressers, clusters and shaped dressers.
The system is available with either randomly dispersed diamonds or with diamonds that are hand-set in a specific pattern to provide consistency. With a variety of available blade widths, it is appropriate for applications ranging from small ID wheels to large centerless and cylindrical wheels.
