the manufacturing process. You can do that and make a more efficient,
lower cost process, as part of the pursuit of zero defects through
effective error proofing. This is something that lean initiatives would
refer to as Poka-yoke processes.
I tried to present
examples to you regarding the fixturing of parts, tooling that’s being
applied to produce parts, the programming process and some of the key
elements in your manufacturing process like the actual machining. This
all gives you the ability to deliver good parts more quickly, at a
lower cost to your customer and improve your global competitiveness and
the bottom line. This is what we all want to be able to do to satisfy
our customer.
