Hobart Brothers plans to showcase three new filler metals: FabCOR F6 gas-shielded metal-cored wire, Element gas-shielded flux-cored wire, and Maxal 4943 aluminum wire and TIG cut-lengths. The filler metals are suitable for elevated temperature applications and provide the ability to reduce weld size without compromising strength, the company says.

FabCOR F6 wire is said to provide higher deposition rates and faster travel speeds than solid wires to help increase productivity on single-pass, flat and horizontal welding applications. It is designed for welding on galvanized or thin-gauge steels, and is suitable for automated and mechanized welding on automotive and transportation applications.

The Element family of six wires features a flux-fill formulation said to achieve low manganese levels without sacrificing mechanical properties or weldability. The wires provide very low spatter levels and consistent arc stability, ensuring reliable welding performance on a variety of applications, the company says.

Maxal 4943 aluminum MIG wire and TIG cut-lengths are classified by the American Welding Society for wrought commercial applications. The wires offer high strength and corrosion resistance as well as low hot-cracking sensitivity.
