The compact Kontec KSK 5A is a five-axis centric clamping device that can be operated from either side. Its centering accuracy is 0.02 mm, and it can be used as a clamping unit for blanks or as a precision-clamping module. This device can be integrated directly into change pallets without any base body. Its length is 170 mm and jaw width is 65 mm, and it offers a clamping range of 0 to 152 mm.

The company also offers its Rota NCR six-jaw compensation chuck that has diameters ranging to 1,200 mm and is capable of precision workpiece clamping with large lathe chucks. The compensation chuck consists of a central chuck piston, which has three inner pendulums positioned at 120 degrees. Each pendulum is connected to two base jaws. The workpiece is centered between six contact points, which can be adjusted in pairs, and the clamping forces are aligned towards the chuck center. This enables pre-machined parts to be accurately without workpiece deformation, the company says.
