Rollomatic will introduce five-axis grinder model 528XW with a six-station wheel changer in its GrindSmart series. This machine is particularly suited for grinding specialty cutting tools, modification or regrinding, and continuous production grinding of rotary cutting tools.
The machine features a six-station wheel changer with HSK50 arbors tested for repetitive concentricity of less than two microns. The wheel changer can replace wheel packs while the automatic loader places a new blank into the machine without losing cycle time. The machine has a 20 hp single-ended grinding spindle (peak) with 23 Nm torque and a coolant supply of 30 gpm. The machine runs the VGPro software platform for high performance end mills, drills and step drills.
