Kurt’s MaxLock vise incorporates the company's AngLock feature to reduce part lift. The vise is designed to hold parts rigidly for close-tolerance repeatability in all axes. The vise enables continuous five-axis cutting of complex pockets, sculptured and contoured surfaces, and intricate 3D features. It delivers 7,000 lbs. clamping force at 40 lbs. of input torque and features a 0.625" stroke with a minimum jaw opening ranging from 0.15" to 15.5" with a variety of screw lengths.

The company’s PinLock locating and mounting system is designed to ease attaching and removing fixtures, subplates and vises from machining centers. According to the company, the helical-extraction design does not bind in side-load conditions. High-precision pins, bushings and liners provide locating repeatability ranging to ±0.0005". The system can accommodate fixture plate thickness ranging from 0.75" to 2".

Also on display are hydraulic swing clamps, valves and pumps, which can be configured into a workholding system for a single machining center or a multi-pallet cell with multiple machines. The system can increase productivity,  reduce labor costs and scrap, and improve part quality, the company says. The single-cylinder design provides 475 to 6,000 lbs. clamping force with a maximum pressure of 5,000 psi. It actuates both the swing and clamping cycle in one, continuous motion. The hydraulic pump has a peak 127-cubic-inch capacity.
