Universal Robots offers a new type of robotic arm, designed to work alongside personnel with no need for safety fencing. The GUI user interface enables smartphone programming instead of using costly programmers, the company says. The robot is designed to be easy to reprogram, which is said to increase flexibility and cost effectiveness.
The robot arm is suited for the automotive industry as well as companies with few employees. The company offers the UR10 robot, which is capable of handling items weighing as much has 10 kilos.
