Okuma challenges IMTS attendees to “Go Beyond” by embracing new machining technologies and strategies as a means to capture greater opportunities, increase productivity, improve quality and reduce costs.
So how does one do this? The company says you might consider a completely different machine or process solution than you originally considered. Or, you might make more efficient use of the available space on your shop floor. Perhaps you might even implement controls that empower employees while proactively eliminating chances for costly production errors.
Attendees can find these types of solutions in the company’s Booth S-8500, which features eight new machines, one of which, the MU-10000H, is Okuma’s largest five-axis machine to date. All machines on display are equipped with peripheral equipment, software and accessories from members of Partners in THINC. Plus, featured demonstrations and workpieces are on display from various industries, including medical, aerospace, automotive, energy/oil and construction.
Be sure to check out the company’s TRY IT stations in its THINC booth area, which feature hands-on, self-guided tours and demonstrations of Okuma software and Intelligent Technologies. In addition to discovering how easy it is to gain efficiencies using peripheral equipment, software and accessories, each attendee who participates in a TRY IT demo is entered to win an iPad. One lucky winner will be drawn each day of the show.
