The Paltech PH 5000 turning grades from Palbit by Toolmex incorporate a MT-CVD coating process that combines MT-TiCN and Al2O3. According to the company, the coatings improve adhesion, toughness and wear properties through micro-structural optimizations and post-coating treatments.
The company will display five new inserts in grades designed for finishing rough machining of steel and cast iron. The company will also display milling products for the aerospace industry. These tools incorporate two locking screws to ensure clamping while machining at high speeds and achieve low cutting forces with the positive up-sharp and ground inserts, the company says.
