Mollart Engineering will exhibit its LD4 Drillsprint gundrilling machine with automatic loading/unloading and in-process monitoring, designed for center line shaft drilling in an automated package. The machine on display produces holes as deep as 1,200 mm and ranging from 2 to 16 mm in diameter, using 3 whipguides and counter-rotation to create concentric bores. This capability maintains very thin wall sections in components. While the machine will feature a full four-spindle configuration, it is also available in single-, two- and three-spindle versions. The company also offers a range of automation options for the Drillsprint, including pick-and-place, gantry and robotic systems, as well as special tooling.
