Sandvik Coromant says the introduction of the CoroMill 600 enables it to offer a complete program of blade-machining milling tools for the power generation industry. The company adds that a new counterbore available in October will provide high process security for demanding applications in the oil and gas and aerospace industries.
The company also offers a number of high-performance drilling products. These include the CoroDrill 860, a solid carbide tool for steel and aluminum applications; the CoroDrill 870, an exchangeable-tip model for various materials that now offers a grade and geometry designed for cast iron; and the CoroDrill 861, which is designed for applications that require a stable tool for deep holes. The latter tool is also said to be particularly useful for cast iron engine blocks.
Finally, the company offers the CoroMill 176. This is an indexable insert cutter designed for gear-milling applications. According to the company, the tool helps alleviate productivity, cost and accuracy challenges.
