Holders Reduce Required Tool Passes for Slot Milling
Briney Tooling Systems offers its Tru Position line of end mill holders with a reduced total indicator reading (TIR) of 0.0002", achieved via internal eccentric grinding.
Briney Tooling Systems offers its Tru Position line of end mill holders with a reduced total indicator reading (TIR) of 0.0002", achieved via internal eccentric grinding. Less runout means a more even chip load with less chatter. Other benefits of the toolholder include fewer tool passes to mill slots thanks to improved on-center rotation, reduced machining time and improved machining quality, says the company. Briney adds that these toolholders provide twice the cutting tool life of other conventional end mill holders, reducing cutting tool replacement costs by as much as half.
