The CLC H series of heavy-duty horizontal gear hobbing machines from Koepfer America are customizable for high-precision gear hobbing. The CLC 260-H offers a maximum swing of 20.472" (520-mm) diameter, while the larger CLC 500-H offers a maximum swing diameter of 31.496" (800 mm). Both machines can be built with different bed lengths to provide axial travel ranging to 118" (3,000 mm), making them suitable for manufacturing shafts and pinions. The machines feature a large through-hole in the work spindle for extra-long workpieces.

The CLC H machines feature high-speed direct-drive torque motors for the work and cutter spindles, and both are equipped with a FANUC 31i numeric control. A high-speed hob head swivels ±45 degrees. The machines can be equipped with skiving (carbide re-hobbing) capability with an integrated electronic timing probe. A CLC 500-FR-H form-milling machine is also available for high-helix worms or rotors.
