Sumitomo Electric Carbide’s AC420K insert is a CVD-coated carbide grade that features layers of TiCN and Al2O3 for wear, chipping and heat resistance. The coating is designed to improve tool life. ISO classified as a K20 grade, the insert is designed for cast iron roughing applications involving medium to heavy interruptions. The flat surface of the Super FF coating also improves chip adhesion resistance.
