With a rated speed of 6,600 rpm and loaded speed of 4,600 rpm, the W24-230 large-angle grinder is designed to cut and grind metal efficiently and safely. It is equipped with a 9" wheel guard and delivers 150 inch-pounds of torque. The tool features 2,400 W of power and is rated at 15 A. A Marathon motor extends its service life.
The grinder’s VibraTech three-position side handle is designed to reduce vibration levels, and its ergonomic rear handle pivots 90 degrees left or right for comfort during cutting or vertical grinding, while reducing user fatigue, the company says.
The grinder includes an on/off switch with a safety lock-out to protect against unintentional start; a burst-proof guard with seven positions; and a spindle lock. A diagonal fan pulls air across the motor to optimize heat dissapation. This increases efficiency and reliability, the company says. The grinder also features a double-winding protection grid, auto-stop carbon brushes and tool-less wheel guard.
