The SuperTurbo-X Mark III RTC 2D laser cutting system is designed for a range of applications, including cutting thin to thick sheets, cubic components, taps and chamfers. A rotary table is standard equipment for cutting round pipe ranging to 14.76" in diameter and square tubes ranging to 6".
The 16.14" range of Z travel enables the user to laser cut pre-formed parts and other 3D shapes requiring greater cut height. The machine is available in 2,500- or 4,000-W (0.87" or 1" CRS) configurations, and it accepts sheet or flat material ranging to 5 × 10 ft. A range of automated material handing systems are available, including load/unload cells and flexible manufacturing systems.
The laser cutter also features intelligent setup functions for automated nozzle spatter removal, a three-station nozzle changer, focal-point measurement and adjustment capability. These features are components of the company’s Opti-Pod, which minimizes system setup time and extends unattended operation, the company says. The machine also incorporates a Servo Focus Torch. The servodriven system is designed to reduce piercing time and increase productivity.
Additional technology includes a high-accuracy, auto-centering lens and nozzle.
