Kingston offers the CPX 3000 heavy-duty flat-bed CNC lathe and its engine lathe counterpart, the HPX. Both machines are double-chuck-ready, feature a 9.25" bore and A2-15 spindle nose, and are designed for heavy-duty cutting of large, heavy workpieces.
The CPX 3000 features a one-piece casting, 28" bed width, and a boxway cross-slide. Standard equipment includes a V8 turret, a 13.7" steady rest with roller jaws, a rear chip conveyor, and a Fanuc 0i-TD CNC with Manual Guide I and a threading repair function. The series is available with 34", 40" or 40" swing and lengths ranging from 40" to 160".
The HPX hollow-spindle engine lathe shares the same headstock and bore as the CPX. It features a 22" bed width, four-way rapid traverse and a 30-hp motor. It is available with 34" or 40" swing in lengths ranging from 80" to 280". An air threading attachment is optional.
