Republic Lagun Machine Tool will represent the Zayer line of bridge and gantry mills. This line of mills offers moving columns with adjustable rails, which increases clearance from spindle nose to table surface (Z axis).
The mills feature a solid casting design with inserted hardened and ground steel ways to minimize cutting vibration. Z-axis travel ranges to 5 m to increase rigidity for large-part, elevated machining, which can range to 40 ft. in a single part casting with the X-axis travel. Available milling heads include five-axis continuous, programmable/indexable and high speed cartridge spindles, all of which can be changed through a CNC.
The KPCU-AR mill on display can accommodate 22 tons of over-the-table weight. The bridge mill offers longitudinal travel ranging from 4 to 12 m; an all-angle, 360,000-positioning (45-degree) head; an L-shaped head; and five axis heads.
