Low-Profile Rotary Table(2)

The GD210LP low-profile rotary table is designed for rigidity, speed, accuracy and repeatability. Stiffness and rigidity are accomplished with large-diameter bearings and a fail-safe clamping system that accommodates parts as heavy as 220 lbs. The table uses as much as 233 foot-pounds (315Nm) of clamping torque to handle off-center drilling, cross-axis milling and other high-force cutting applications.

The company’s hardened and ground steel cross-axis helical gear provides long life and continued accuracy, the company says.

The table has a 210-mm slotted face plate that is precision ground and features table rotation ranging to 40 rpm. The face plate can be removed to mount a manual jaw chuck directly to the A2-5 spindle for ease of gripping round parts, the company says. The rotary table can be operated as a stand-alone unit (horizontal or vertical) with a servo control or as a true fourth axis directly connected to the machine. The low-profile footprint occupies minimal space on the table allowing vises or other fixtures to remain in place, reducing setup and teardown.

The table features ±15 arcsecond accuracy and ±3 arcsecond repeatability based on true bi-directional testing.
