Machine-ready blanks enable production to start immediately, the company says. Blanks can be loaded directly into the machine without prep operations such as sawing, grinding, flattening or squaring. Also, less time is required for adjusting setups and fixture offsets.

 

The machine-ready blanks arrive with tolerances guaranteed as close as ±0.0005" dimensionally and ±0.0002" on flatness, squareness and parallelism. The blanks are processed using double-disc grinding, Blanchard grinding and duplex milling, as well as operations such as flattening, deburring and surface improvement.

 

Machine-ready blanks are available in aluminum, stainless, brass, copper, titanium, plastics, high-temperature and nickel alloys, carbon steels and tubes, tool steel, controlled expansion alloys, ceramics, spring steel and ductile iron.
