The special taps vary from standard design criteria regarding special shank and drive dimensions, thread form, geometry, number of pitches (threads per inch), and any number of other design variables. They also range from left-hand taps to piloted taps, interrupted thread taps to coolant-hole taps, and deep-hole extension taps to double-lead tandem Acme taps. The company’s taps are available in both inch imperial and metric measurements, with special thread forms or thread tool designs to meet product design requirements.
