Mitee-Bite Products has introduced manual actuators designed to grip the ID of blind holes and many other applications. The actuators can generate a pulldown force of more than 4,000 lbs and are capable of gripping bores ranging from 0.16" (4.1mm) to 1.39" (35.3mm) using the company’s standard ID clamps, Models #00 through #4. Versions suitable for milling and turning applications are available. The compact mill style can be mounted to hold workpieces in both the vertical and horizontal plane. This style also increases the functionality of fourth- and fifth-axis workholding systems.
