Rocklin Manufacturing will display its Rocklinizer Model 850 marking system, which uses a rotary applicator for faster application. Other features include touch panel controls and digital readout for deposit thickness and applicator speed. For users who need a heavier deposit (for instance, on gripping applications), the Model 850 can apply as much as 0.007" of material.

Three types of electrodes are available for use with the marking system, including tungsten carbide electrodes for application on high speed steel and other metal surfaces to prolong useful life and reduce wear; titanium carbide electrodes for surface sealing carbide to prevent chipping; and the company’s Rockhard electrode material for buildup, reclaiming undersized tools by restoring tolerances, maintenance and creating gripping surfaces. Deposit amounts can be controlled in 0.001" intervals from 0.001" to 0.007".
