Mazak Distributors Merge
The two distributors, Shelton Machinery and Concept Technical Sales, together serve customers in Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas and Western Missouri.
Mazak Corp. (Florence, Kentucky) has announced that two of its distributors, Shelton Machinery (Fishers, Indiana) and Concept Technical Sales Inc. (Overland Park, Kansas) have merged. Concept, which was acquired by Shelton, will remain at its current location and operate under the name Concept Machinery, a Shelton Machinery Company. Both companies have distributed for Mazak for decades.
“This merging of distributor resources and expertise is great news for existing and future Mazak owners in Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas and Western Missouri,” says Brian Papke, president of Mazak.
Current customers of Concept Technical Sales will continue to have access to the Mazak equipment and sales contacts, with the addition now of more service, support and training options. Shelton Machinery plans to add new applications engineers and factory-certified technicians to the area for improved response times.
In addition, the acquisition will position Shelton Machinery to expand into new areas such as aerospace parts manufacturing, which has a strong presence in Kansas, according to Mazak.
