The Rocklinizer Model 800 has a rotary applicator that allows material to be deposited on a workpiece surface at a higher rate than previous models could. Other features include touch panel controls and digital readout for deposit thickness and applicator speed. For users who desire a heavier deposit (for instance, on gripping applications), the Model 800 can apply material deposits as thick as 0.007".

Three types of electrodes are available for use with the machine. Tungsten carbide electrodes are applied to high speed steel and other metal surfaces to prolong useful life and reduce wear. Titanium carbide electrodes are applied to carbide to seal the surface and prevent chipping. The "Rockhard" electrode material is applied to undersized tools so that the built-up surface is restored to dimensional tolerances. This material can also be used to maintain surfaces subject to wear and to provide gripping surfaces. Material can be deposited from 0.0002" to 0.007" thick in a single application. The machine setting controls thickness within 0.0001" increments.
