Henning Industrial Software has released a mobile device application (app) named iVET, an optional mobile add-on for the company’s Visual EstiTrack ERP product. It is designed to run on most mobile devices including Apple Computer’s iPhone and iPad; Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7; and Google Android-based phones and tablets. The app enables users to have direct mobile access to their Visual EstiTracks database, making it easy to view customers, vendors, employees, orders, inventory, and company metrics directly from a mobile hand-held device.
The app also gives users the ability to directly dial phone numbers, text, email and use the device’s GPS features. For example, when viewing a customer or vendor, the user can touch the phone number label to dial the phone number or the email label to email a customer from the mobile phone. The user can also click on the address label to launch the phone’s mapping software to get directions to the customer or vendor from the current GPS location.
