Designed to create features such as metering holes, slots and diffusers, the FH series of six-axis, fast-hole EDM machines offer a full enclosure, 30” of X-axis travel and a tilt rotary table. The machines have a GE Fanuc 16Oi control and “Handyman” remote pendant in addition to a robotic tool changer, electrode dresser and pneumatic tool holder and stabilizers. The FH series machines also are available with the company’s Micro-Pulse technology, which is said to virtually eliminate micro-cracking and recast associated with the EDM process that are particularly problematic for the aerospace and land-based power generation industries.
