Able to accommodate multiple types of sensors, the Accura CMM incorporates foam insulating technology and other features that contribute to fast, precise and flexible measurements, the company says. Users can configure the modular system with various sensors, software and other features to suit individual application requirements. Software such as Gear Pro for gear manufacturing and Holos NT for freeform surface measurements is integrated along with Calypso, the company’s standard CAD-based measuring software.

 

The machine can also integrate with the company’s MASS technology. Combined with an RDS articulating probe holder, this enables measuring program-guided change between contact sensors and the ViScan and LineScan optical sensors during a CNC run. Compatible contact measuring sensors include the company’s VAST family and the DT single-point sensor, both of which can be incorporated in various configurations. The system’s bridge features a high-performance insulation that provides the temperature resistance necessary to guarantee precision on the shop floor.
