Fortune International presents the Vturn-0200 multitasking turning center, featuring twin spindles with 33.5-hp built-in FANUC spindle motors. The turning center features three-turrets with three of the BMT-55 type milling turrets with Y axis. Fortune will be showcasing the T2Y2 model with upper-lower turrets, both with Y axis.

The three-turret model includes 48 live tools for both OP-10 and OP-20 machining applications designed for quicker tool exchange compared to multitasking lathes with automatic toolchangers, the company says. The machine is designed to minimize the cutting time difference between OP-10 and OP-20 operations to balance cutting tempo and maximize the turning length on twin-turret lathes when deep-hole drilling is required. A robotic parts catcher links the machine to either a bar feeder or work-feeding system for either manual collection or by a part receiver for an unattended machining line.

The machine features Taichung’s NC package with a 15" LCD included for three-turret models. 3D cutting simulation can be executed in Manual Guide I, and 2D on-line cutting on both spindles can be done simultaneously. A FANUC air bag has been integrated into the NC package to minimize damage caused by faulty operation.
