Offering both live-graphical-part and live-image views, the Magellan Vision System from Paul N. Gardner Co. provides multi-point video edge detection for fast and accurate non-contact measurement of parts. The machine is constructed on a benchtop granite base and features a precision monorail bearing measuring stage. The system provides quick-release X- and Y-axis controls, programmable 6.5 to 1 motorized zoom, a through-lens laser spot part finder, a 1.2-megapixel digital camera and programmable LED illumination. The system is equipped with a multi-touch Windows 7 panel PC and includes Video Work Shop measuring software. Two measuring ranges are available.
