Modern Machine Shop
Oil mist adversely affects employee health and shop equipment. To eliminate this hazard, Tecnara Tooling Systems is introducing the Aoi Seiko Mistcapture, an oil mist removal system for a variety of applications including machining centers, lathes and multitasking machines.
The multi-filter system has an impeller design that can be adapted for various applications. The primary cartridge box can be optimized with combinations of main filters. In most installations, all mist and mist-borne particles are removed at this primary stage. The choice of filtration system includes collision plate, louver, accumulator, washable filters and non-washable filters. For situations where fine mist is present, an ultra-efficient post filter provides additional filtration.
Regular maintenance can be performed without removing the duct hose from the suction port. The main filter is housed in an accessible cartridge that enables filters to be replaced quickly from either side of the system.
According to the company, the compact system is lightweight and designed for floor installation to facilitate servicing. The air intake may be located as far as 25' from the system. Temperature range is up to 60ºC (140ºF) at the intake plate.
