CNC Indexing & Feeding Technologies is the exclusive importer for Welltech Machinery Company’s products, which include disk-type oil skimmers. Disk oil skimmers can reduce coolant costs, and skimmed waste oil can be recycled for additional savings, the company says.

 

Using the disk oil skimmer on a machine tool’s coolant tank extends coolant life by removing tramp oil from the coolant; virtually eliminates odors by preventing growth of anaerobic bacteria; minimizes dermatitis caused by skin contact with dirty coolant; and prevents plugging of coolant nozzles and filters

 

The fully covered design of the DG-260TSL features a 10" stainless steel disk with a reach of 5.75", three programmable modes and an oil/coolant separator. In use, the disk picks up the coolant/oil mixture from the machine’s coolant tank. From there, the coolant sinks to the bottom of the oil skimmer’s separation tank and is routed back into the machine’s coolant tank. Then, the waste oil rises to the top, where it is diverted into a containment barrel for recycling.
