Okuma Hires Coordinator for Houston Tech Center
Ted Winkle says that he first learned to program and operate a CNC machine on Okuma lathes, so working for the company now is a sort of homecoming.
Okuma America Corp. (Charlotte, North Carolina) has added Ted Winkle as coordinator of its Houston Tech Center. He will be responsible for managing all technical center activities in addition to supporting sales and Okuma distribution partner Hartwig.
“I first learned to program and operate a CNC machine on Okuma lathes with OSP-5020 controls,” says Winkle. “Being able to join the Okuma team is kind of like a homecoming for me.”
Mr. Winkle previously held supervisory and engineering positions in the manufacturing industry and has extensive sales and technical training experience. He has more than 20 years of hands-on experience as a design engineer.
