Weiler’s V-series four-way bed precision lathe is available in two versions featuring automated cycles and digital-drive technology with a swing over bed measuring 940 mm/1,160 mm (37"/ 45") and swing over cross-slide of 590 / 810 mm (23.22" / 31.88").

Both the V90 and V110 are developed  to machine long, thin workpieces weighing as much as 8 tons without needing to reclamp as the slides can overrun the fixed steady rest. The four-way bed precision lathe takes its name from the four guideways along which the steady rest and slide can be moved.

The main spindle is available with spindle bores measuring 165, 262 or 362 mm and is driven through two gear stages with a power output of 45/37 kW (60 percent/100 percent duty cycle).  The distance between centers can be adjusted in steps of 1,500 mm ranging from 3,000 mm to 15,000 mm.

Traversable steady rests range from manual to hydraulically actuated, self-centering versions for a variety of applications. According to the company, all types of threads can be cut ranging from 0.5 to 2,000 mm per turn.

The lathe models are said to be well-suited for a variety of applications including general machine building, oil, hydraulics shipbuilding and energy.
