The Model 3400V Versatile Lock vise from Kurt is described as an ultra-precise 4" vise with a 6" jaw opening for small machining centers. The vise has 0.0005" clamping repeatability with the enlarged workholding area. The vise features the Anglock design to prevent parts from lifting upward under heavy clamping loads. Its pull-type jaw clamping design reduces deflection.
The vise has a one-piece vise body and stationary jaw machined of 80,000-psi ductile iron, which provides strength while reducing vibration. It can be mounted on both sides. The stationary jaw is matched to the keyway, including body height, to ±0.001". It is available in standard, reverse manual and hydraulic models.
Other Kurt products on display include: pull-type HD690 vises with 9" openings and hydraulic actuation; the PinLock locating and mounting system; a 5,000 psi air hydraulic pump; swing clamps; and sine parallels for angled setups.
