Peter Wolters of America, a subsidiary of Lapmaster International LLC, will display the Micron Macro high-rigidity profile grinder, designed for high-efficiency deep grinding (HEDG) and creep-feed profile grinding. The grinding head performs all linear movements, arranging the axes in a compact method for optimum force distribution and minimal thermal variation with high stock removal rates. The torque tube design provides vibration dampening and further supports thermal stability. Other features include an overhead diamond roll dresser with a 4" in-feed stroke, a “ball guide” arbor, a quick-change roll clamp and an electric drive with programmable roll speed and direction.
The swivel-mounted cabinet and frame ease access to machine interior. The machine is designed for reduced footprint, and a “quick disconnect” feature shortens relocation time. Supporting automation, optional doors are available for robotic loading/unloading interfaces.
