NCSIMUL is machining simulation software for developing, optimizing and running G-code programs for CNC machine tools. The software is designed to reduce time spent on debugging NC programs; avoid the risk of collisions and tool breakage; optimize cutting conditions; and reduce machining time.

The software features high speed (5 to 10 MB/min.) decoding of ISO programming commands (including macros) to rapidly analyze tool paths for errors and to generate realistic 3D simulation of machine motion and metal removal. According to developers, the simulation runs in a Windows-native user interface with OpenGL 3D technology, thus avoiding the refresh delays and program replays characteristic of bitmap-based simulation systems, the company says.

The interface enables the user to pan, zoom and rotate the view freely. The software”s Universal Machine Technology supports all possible machine configurations and kinematics (parallel kinematics, multi-turret, multi-spindle, pallet changer and flexible cell, for example) and an unlimited number of axes, the company says.

Because the processing speed of NC program analysis, simulation and optimization is high, the system is said to be especially useful for large, complex parts to be machined on five-axis turn/mill machines and other complex, machine types.
